Tom Seider Takes Over as Chair of Publications Committee
Following a wildly successful three-year run as editor of the Appellate Practice Section’s submissions to the Florida Bar Journal, Brannock Humphries & Berman shareholder Tom Seider is taking the reigns of the Section’s Publications Committee, where he will oversee not only the Bar Journal articles but also the Section’s newsletter and popular pro se handbook.
The Publications Committee is one of the Appellate Practice Section’s largest committees. Aptly named, the Committee is responsible for all Section publications, including articles in every issue of the Florida Bar Journal; the creation and distribution of the Pro Se Self-Represented Appellate Handbook, which helps litigants navigate the appellate process; and the form and content of The Record, the Section’s online newsletter.
During his tenure as editor of the Bar Journal submissions, Tom successfully placed an article in every issue of the Journal, curating a wait list of several months for authors to publish. In his new role as Chair of the Committee, Tom will now work with his successor, along with the editors of the Section’s other publications, to continue the Committee’s longstanding commitment to producing timely, high-quality content that is relevant to appellate practitioners.
