Tom Seider Lectures for Florida Justice Association Seminar
Joining a who’s who of appellate lawyers in Florida, Brannock Humphries & Berman shareholder Tom Seider was a featured speaker at the first ever “Appellate Practice for Trial Lawyers” event sponsored by the Florida Justice Association’s Appellate Practice Section.
The half-day seminar, which was part of the Florida Justice Association’s annual convention, covered topics ranging from the appealability of certain orders to avoiding reversible error during closing arguments. During his portion of the event, Tom discussed how to make an appellate record before, during, and after trial. He touched on common preservation of error pitfalls, highlighted important issues that should be raised at various stages of the trial, and addressed concepts like invited error and harmless error. He also offered practical advice for trial lawyers and provided examples from some of his recent experiences.
Tom is an EAGLE member of the Florida Justice Association, which is one of the strongest and most active organizations in the country dedicated to protecting the rights of injured citizens by working to strengthen and uphold the civil justice system.
