Phil Padovano Elected to Prestigious National Organization of Appellate Lawyers
Brannock Berman & Seider shareholder Phil Padovano has been inducted into the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, joining firm founder Steve Brannock as a member of America’s most exclusive group of appellate attorneys.
The American Academy of Appellate Lawyers was founded in 1990 to recognize outstanding appellate lawyers and to promote the improvement of appellate advocacy and the administration of the nation’s appellate courts. Academy membership is by invitation only. New members face stringent criteria—they must be nominated, unsolicited, by two current members—and undergo rigorous screening before being approved by the Academy’s board for entry. At least 15 years of appellate practice is a prerequisite.
Demonstrating the organization’s exclusivity, just 18 appellate lawyers across Florida have been invited to join. Only the large national law firm Carlton Fields, with 3 members, has more Florida lawyers in the Academy than Brannock Berman & Seider. In total, the Academy consists of 355 lawyers across all 50 states.
