Tom Seider Gives Tutorial on Brief Writing

As part of a special continuing legal education program to help lawyers navigate the appellate process, Brannock Berman & Seider shareholder Tom Seider discussed the ins and outs of crafting an effective appellate brief.

Tom’s presentation, which also featured fellow appellate lawyer Brandon Breslow, offered practical insights and strategies for mastering the basics of brief writing.  It was part of a webinar presented by the Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section designed to guide attorneys through the foundational steps of the appellate process.  Other topics included initiating and filing an appeal and preparing the record and appendices.

Writing a persuasive brief is perhaps the most important – and most challenging– part of the appellate process.  A past winner of the Florida Justice Association’s Tipton Award for legal writing, Tom is well-known around the state for his top-notch writing skills.
