Joe Eagleton Becomes Chair-Elect of Appellate Practice Section

Brannock Berman & Seider partner Joe Eagleton, an officer in the Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section for the past two years, has ascended to chair-elect of the Section.

After serving as the Section’s secretary in the 2022-23 Bar year and treasurer in 2023-24, Joe will spend the 2024-25 year as the Section’s second-in-command, under the leadership of chair Courtney Brewer and fellow officers Elaine Walter, Mary Walter, and Third DCA Judge Kansas Gooden, the Section’s immediate past chair. As chair-elect, Joe will help manage the Section, oversee its committees, and steer its strategic vision.

The Appellate Practice Section is the largest statewide organization in Florida focused on appeals. Comprising more than 1,500 members of the Florida Bar—lawyers and judges, litigators and public servants, civil and criminal practitioners—the Section promotes professionalism, collegiality, and excellent written and oral advocacy in Florida’s state and federal courts of appeals. Firm partners Steve Brannock and Ceci Berman are past chairs of the Section, and partner Tom Seider and associate Sarah Roberge currently serve on the Section’s executive council.
