Steve Brannock Participates In A Panel Discussion At The Annual Conference Of Florida District Court Of Appeal Judges
One of the firm’s founding shareholders, Steve Brannock, recently spoke on “Emerging Trends in the Practice of Law” at a conference attended by all of Florida’s appellate judges.
The panel conversation, which was moderated by Judge Stephanie Ray of Florida’s First District Court of Appeal and Judge Sam Salario of the Second District Court, focused on the practice of law from various perspectives. Mr. Brannock contrasted his experiences as a long-time appellate practitioner at Holland & Knight, one of Florida’s largest law firms, with his experiences as an appellate specialist in the eight years since co-founding Brannock & Humphries in 2010. The panel considered topics such as hiring, retention, benefits, training, and marketing, and the judges were particularly interested in learning about the economics of a small boutique practice.
Mr. Brannock was joined on the panel by Tracy Nichols, a partner in Holland & Knight’s Miami office, and Rachel Nordby of the Florida Solicitor General’s Office.
