Celene Humphries Presents Continuing Legal Education Seminar For Florida Justice Association

Brannock & Humphries shareholder Celene Humphries discussed the evolving topic of evidence spoliation in personal injury and products liability cases in a special webinar she also co-chaired along with well-known personal injury attorney Jamie Holland.

The program, entitled “57.105 Motions and Defense Motions for Fraud on the Court,” addressed defense motions, frivolous claims, and the various types of sanctions available to litigants.  Ms. Humphries, who has long been a frequent speaker for the Florida Justice Association, focused specifically on remedies for the spoliation of evidence, which refers to when evidence is lost, misplaced, destroyed, or significantly altered.  In addition to presenting, Ms. Humphries shared in-depth written materials analyzing the law in Florida and around the country, helping to identify new arguments that can be made in personal injury cases.

This presentation joins dozens more given by Ms. Humphries to members of the Florida Justice Association over the last two decades.  Her longstanding commitment to protecting Florida’s civil justice system, and to sharing her legal writing and insight, is one reason she was awarded the S. Victor Tipton Award, which recognizes superior achievement in legal writing.
